About CPVA
Founded in 1991, and Headquartered in Kingston, Ontario, the Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans Association (CPVA) is a national, all Veteran, all volunteer, not-for-profit, and apolitical organization, whose purposes are to be a strong and leading advocate for all Veterans, and to create and nurture a forum of comradeship for Veterans.
Since its establishment, CPVA has steadily and consistently contributed to the well-being of Canadian Veterans, in ways large and small, both nationally and at local Chapters across the country, from Newfoundland to Victoria.
In the 34 years of its existence, CPVA has consistently worked cooperatively and diligently, with sister Veteran organizations, and with the Minister and senior staff of Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), providing them with innovative suggestions on a wide variety of topics. CPVA’s steady and active leadership to the Canadian Veterans community has displayed, time and again, its capacity to reach far beyond its own membership to influence events and activities affecting all Canadian Veterans.
CPVA is also the only Canadian Veterans organization recognized by the Norwegian Nobel Committee to issue the 1988 Nobel Peace Prize Diploma to deserving Veterans.
